Soul Man

I miss R&B music. The kind that laid feelings on the line, and bared their souls in the name of love. The kind of music that made folks want to make babies and that remind me of so many nights of watching my parents slow dance in the kitchen. There's plenty of rhythm, but not enough blues in the 21st century and yeah, I want that "old thing" back. Luckily for those of you that are tired of clubbing in the car, the shower, or desk at work there's a refreshing remedy from an artist we all know.
R. Kelly's Love Letter is a tribute to the true spirit of R&B, a true concept album that includes 14 original songs [including a bonus track] for the lover in you. Inspired by legends such Sam Cooke, Stevie Wonder, and Marvin Gaye, Kelly has evolved his sound into the formula that started this whole soul thang. Watch and listen the behind the scenes, of Love Letter:

The best way to shut haters up is to succeed. Not to make response records for those who secretly admire your story and style, or to hide. Kelly has moved on from the scandal's and the fans who have abandoned him. And to answer nay-say Trey, Kelly has not only released Untitled, but has earned the number one spot on the Billboard's top 50 R&B artists of the last 50 years.

All the lovers in the house tonight... love on.

  1. He pulled a Raphael Saadiq but I can't hate on that. As a fan it just outright sounds and feels good when he pulls from other artists for inspiration. Not only that he gives full credit and respect to those he is drawing inspiration from. Raphael Saadiq made a 60s sounding album a couple years ago but Kellz definitely executed what he was trying at such a high level that it doesn't matter if it's "biting" or not. It's down right GOOD music! Imma spend my few dollars and cop music that is worth copping. Albums that have great quality deserves to be bought in my opinion. When people make albums full of singles people are gonna feel like the music is disposable. Now if ppl can just get past "he peed on a lil girl" stuff. "Untitled" was a very good album too but ppl were on the Trey bandwagon and their albums came out too close to each other.

Now I have more food to feed my overly optimistic love appetite lol.
